Tope Fasua is a 1991 graduate Economics (1991), and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) (2014). He also possesses a Masters Degree with Distinction, in Financial Markets and Derivatives from London Metropolitan University.
He started his career in the Nigerian Banking Industry in 1992, culminating in a role as "Regional Director, Abuja" at Equitorial Trust Bank before quitting in 2005. Before then, he had worked in Operations Department (Funds Transfer Local), at Citizens Bank, then International Operations (Citizens Bank), and with the Export Group (Marketing), at the same bank. He later became the Head of Operations at Standard Trust Bank, Ikeja, and rose to become branch manager at the same branch. Tope left Standard Trust Bank for Equitorial Trust Bank in the year 2000, where he continued as Branch Manager, Ikeja Brach, before he was transferred to Abuja in 2001.
Tope presently runs Global Analytics Consulting Ltd, Nigeria, a company of Management and Economic Development Consultants, with a broad clientele base spanning Nigeria, Ghana, UK, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Liberia, Kenya and Uganda.
He is also a columnist for the Abuja-based Sunday Trust, apart from his monthly contributions to Abu-Dhabi-based Capital Business Magazine, Inside Watch Africa Magazines, Skytrends Online Journal, and African Development Magazines. Tope also contributes articles to ModernGhana online newspaper, apart from being a prolific blogger on economic, financial and social issues.
